This course provides a basic understanding of identifying and controlling the underlying causes of work site injuries. Participants will learn how to find and eliminate the root cause, the differences between an accident and an incident and the importance effective incident reporting through class discussions and group activities.
Provides participants with the knowledge needed to use the COR Evaluation Instrument through instruction and practical exercises. Participants will examine and demonstrate evaluation techniques in a series of exercises. This week long course will conclude with a team based evaluation with an NSCSA COR Evaluator on an actual employer site.
This course is designed to familarize participants on the proper use of the special precautionary techniques and personal protective equipment. By the end of the course the participant will understand the danger and risks, the different approach distances for levels of exposure, proper personal protective equipment and the necessities of job planning to perform the job safely.
